Looming With Love

This is what I worked on while away for a few days.

 sorry it is kinda hard to see. Just Click on the pic and you can see it bigger. It is the kate the cat pattern.

I did it on the green knifty knitter. I am going to use different shades of brown and Tan and Cream and make a afghan for our Kitty to put on our bed to protect the Quilt my Mom made us.  I haven't wanted to put on because the cat loves to sleep on our bed. Now Ican make a cute afghan for the bed that will match the colors inthe Quilt.

 This site has alot of different blocks to knit.

To do the blocks on the loom you need to be aware that when the Block pattern says knit across you need to purl instead of knit.

One Loom Mitten This pattern you don’t need to worry about Right and Left hand. Do two the same and they can be worn either for a left or a right.What’s Needed?

1. Blue Knifty Knitter 2. Loom hook3. Yarn Needle

 A gal at our local Wal-mart called me. She does craft demos there. The store wants her to make a looming display for the knifty knitters. She wants to buy some of my stuff to display there. It is sorta exciting. IT is the only yarn shop for Miles around. We are at least four hours away from any good yarn stores.  So I am meeting with her today. I will lert you know how it goes.

 Checkerboard Hat

This is  a fun hat to make. It can be made on both the green and blue Knifty Knitters.

Items needed

1. green or blue knifty knitter

2. yarn needle

3. Knitting Hook

4. any worsted weight yarn of your choice

Instuctions or written for use with both looms.

You will be knitting in the round

cast on  36 [ 24]using the cable cast found at  http://decoraccentsinc.com/cablecaston.html

Row 1 thru Row 4   *k1 p1* repeat 18 times [12 times} for each row

Row 5  K all around loom

Row 6 - 9   *K3 P3* repeat 6 times [ 4 times]for each row

Row 10 -13  *P3 K3* repeat 6 times [4 times] for each row

Row 14- 17 * K3 P3* repeat 6 time [4 times] for each row

Row 18- 21 *P3 K3* repeat 6 times [ 4 times]for each row

Row 22- 26    K all the way around for each row

Remove with the gathering method

Hide loose ends

Yes we survived the Storm! We got my Daughter back to College today. Tomorrow I will go to the store and Shop and while I am there I will get a battery for the Camera so I can take pics of My patterns and then Write up instructions and post. I can’t wait. Hopefully Tomorrow They will be posted If not all three then at least one.

 No Snow all winter and now look what march Looks like.

This was taken earlier today and now we have 22 inches and still Falling.

As you can see from above I didn't have th time set right. It is actually about 5pm on the 11th of March.

Night Night

We did have that today! We put together 750 Hygene Kits and then decided to go home because the snow was getting heavier. Thursday is Looming day at my house.  I have some ladies coming to learn to loom.  I will be posting a hat pattern this week so check back to see it. I will have pictures too.

This my first Blog. I will be posting a couple of Patterns soon. I am trying to get ready for a demo at a Humanitarian Project Tomorrow! Check Back soon.
