It has been awhile!
May 27, 2006 at 11:58 pm (Family, Odds and Ends)
Well I had surgery the end of April and them we got a new puppy and then We moved our daughter home from College. It has been busy since I last posted.I am working on a block pattern for the loom. I am trying to figure out how you design a block and get it to the size you want. I am trying to do a Fire cracker design. When I get it all worked out I will post it.
About this new puppy. We have a cat that has never been interested in yarn at all. So I have never had to worry about my stash. I think we have a dog that thinks she's a cat. She won't leave my yarn alone. So i gave her her own yarn as a toy. I haven't taken any yarn pictures with her yet. I will soon. I do have a out door Picture of her.

Spring Break is Over!!!!
April 2, 2006 at 10:48 pm (Odds and Ends)
We went to Utah for Spring Break with the Boys. I went to Roberts and feel in love with the Knifty Knitter Yarn. Roberts is the only place I have found it. I made a couple of pairs of gloves with it and working on a matching scarf for one of them and a Head scarf for my Daughter. Tomorrow I will post pics of the gloves and scarf too. Can't wait to go back and buy more. Probly this summer. Walmart is the only place for yarn purchases in our area. Everything else is 3 to 4 hours away. Booo Hooo. I can't travel without my looms. I only wish I could knit inthe car with out getting car sick. Keep Knitting
Cat Block
March 23, 2006 at 11:42 am (Looming, Odds and Ends)
This is what I worked on while away for a few days.
sorry it is kinda hard to see. Just Click on the pic and you can see it bigger. It is the kate the cat pattern.
I did it on the green knifty knitter. I am going to use different shades of brown and Tan and Cream and make a afghan for our Kitty to put on our bed to protect the Quilt my Mom made us. I haven't wanted to put on because the cat loves to sleep on our bed. Now Ican make a cute afghan for the bed that will match the colors inthe Quilt.
I found the pattern at
http://www.knittingknonsense.com/
This site has alot of different blocks to knit.
To do the blocks on the loom you need to be aware that when the Block pattern says knit across you need to purl instead of knit.
Hope you have fun with the blocks at this site.

Walmart is calling!
March 23, 2006 at 9:35 am (Odds and Ends)
A gal at our local Wal-mart called me. She does craft demos there. The store wants her to make a looming display for the knifty knitters. She wants to buy some of my stuff to display there. It is sorta exciting. IT is the only yarn shop for Miles around. We are at least four hours away from any good yarn stores. So I am meeting with her today. I will lert you know how it goes.
